Mary C. Perna, age 79, of Norristown, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the home of her
brother in Jeffersonville after an illness. Born in Norristown on March 18, 1927, she was the
She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Legion of Mary, and enjoyed knitting,
crocheting and painting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Carmella Paschall.
Survivors include her brother, Lawrence J. (Pat) Perna Jr. of Jeffersonville; nieces and
nephews: Robert (Linda), Joseph (Eileen), Albert (Laurie), Michael, Mary Jean and Larry
(Julie) Paschall; Dianne (Tom) Kolenda, Sharon Kelly, Donna, Larry (Debra) III, Michael
Perna and Trish (John) SanFelice; and 27 great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. and
Wednesday, from 9 to 9:50 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1100 W. Marshall St.,
Norristown, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday, with the Rev. Fr. Kevin Trautner,
Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church officiating. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East
Norriton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis of
Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA 19401. Funeral Arrangements by:
